Nice to Meet You

  • Nova

My parents and grandpa bought me Nova on July 15th 2014. He was 9 years old when we got him, he is now 19. He is an American Warmblood. He was bred to jump and loves it. Before I got him, he competed in the jumper’s division. I slowly transitioned him to hunter jumpers. We showed competitively and was given the opportunity to work with a few different hunter jumper trainers. We were on our track to compete the A circuit. In 2017 Nova sustained an injury playing in the pasture. I had to retire him from showing, and jumping at a competitive level. Since then, we have competed small shows, went trail riding, and are now learning Liberty. Since day one he has been a goofy, loving, and extraordinary horse. At Wild Paint Equestrian, he is our main lesson horse. He is great for beginners because he is super safe. But, Nova is great for all levels. He has a wide range of albites that will accommodate novice to advance riders. so much that there is plenty anyone can learn from riding him. I couldn’t ask for a better teaching partner.

  • Indy

Indy is our newest addition; she was given to us to use in our lesson program.  She is best suited for an intermediate rider. She loves to go through obstacle courses and has no fear. She is very sweet and loves to be groomed. Indy loves to talk; she neighs at me every time I come outside. Her neighing is usually followed by Butchie braying too. Indy is gaited, so we think she is a Tennessee Walker mixed with something else. Her pace is so smooth and comfortable. She is so much fun to ride.

  • Butchie

We rescued Butchie on February 13, 2022 from a kill pen. Butchie is a 3-year-old donkey, which is in training to be able to be ridden. Our goal for him is to be able to teach lessons on him one day. For the last year, his main job has been learning the basics of liberty and having fun. He loves to get treats, and he loves to talk to anyone who comes up the driveway.
